Ann McLaughlin, Spiritual Counseling
|
"Ann has an uncanny ability to
drill down and bring to light that which I know to be true
--
a passion pursued is a destiny fulfilled."
|
 |
About Ann I don't
pretend to have or know all the answers.
I do know that I have spent decades honing the
questions.
I am fascinated by Life Purpose;
the role that each of us play in Divine Creation.
I believe that humanity stands at a threshold:
as the challenges amplify, either we spiral up or spin
out.
I believe that in each of us is a Sacred Heart,
Sacre Coeur. |
|
| |
I believe
that in the same way
an acorn knows how to grow into an oak,
that we have encoded into us what we are to do and be;
that deep inside we have the knowledge of how to become
human.
(When I was 5 years old, I thought we were called "human
beans".
...lima beans, green beans, pinto beans, human
beans!) |

|
Important to our discovering our individual destiny is
learning how to get along.
The Bantu have a saying, "We
learn to be people through other people."
My life has been dedicated to service.
I began coaching
decades before the fashion hit.
Trained and
steeped in Social Work, my spiritual life coaching has substance.
I take the mumbo-jumbo out of spiritual counseling.
For over 20 years, I worked as a psychotherapist
with a focus on helping people with psychological or emotional
problems. *
After 20 years, I wanted to shift from a focus on
problems to a focus on solutions;
and to shift focus from a person's past to their present and
future.
I followed my heart into working at an international level.
For the last 8 years, I have directed NGOabroad: International
Careers & Volunteering.
Through NGOabroad, I connect human skills to
humanity's problems.
NGOabroad works at a very practical, hands-on level. I feel
that we need to do more:
We need to call in additional, spiritual forces to
address humanity's challenges.
I want to apply
spiritual skills to humanitarian problems:
e.g. teach Prosperity workshops
throughout Africa.
I think that it would be very useful be able to
foresee disasters or coups.
(A colleague felt trouble was brewing in Ivory
Coast and thus averted problems for her team.)
In connecting to Spirit Guides and Angels, I can connect people
to a deeper source of healing.
To me, Spiritual Counseling is not about my beliefs but
yours.
People of any faith or creed are welcome and respected.
The spiritual forces that I am talking about are expressed
in all religions.
To find deep answers, we must transcend doctrines and
dogmas, and find what is universal.
|
Where do I talk
to and listen to God?
Out
in the middle of Creation.
Kayaking, hiking, swimming or sitting by the waterfall or
sea bring God's answers to me.
And you?
How do you connect to Divinity?
How do you discover your Life Purpose?
These are the Core Questions
that my Spiritual Counseling addresses. |

This
is the most beautiful climb I have ever done.
Climbing taught me that you can get anywhere
if
you take it one step at a time. |

*I no longer work as a psychotherapist. If you want or need
emotional or psychological help,
it is important to work with a local therapist in-person. I
now work by phone or Skype.
